About A Pampas Life

I’ve always had a creative flare and during the height of lock down in 2020 this took me in the direction of pampas grass and dried flowers. During lock down I became home décor obsessed and everywhere I looked for home décor inspiration, they all had pampas grass. It was very clear to see the demand for these dried delights was huge. I kicked started the business by selling individual stems of pampas grass on Facebook market place which was overwhelmingly successful. I hadn’t yet finalised suitable packaging that would guarantee the safe arrival of the pampas for people who wanted them posting so at the time I only had a collection option. Before long the drive down to the house where we lived was swarming with cars on my Sunday morning collection slot.

Before long it was clear that I need to up my game and this was something that I could pursue, I enlisted the help of a very good friend Bradley Rutland Jones, who quickly drafted up my first logo which was a blush pink colour with black writing encompassed by a floral wreath. Nothing like my current logo or branding. Before I knew it I had everything I needed to launch my Instagram page. The next hurdle was getting the perfect shots to really sell the pampas grass in all its fluffy glory, after lots of playing around with different back drops in my house and different lighting I had all I needed. I posted the first pictures onto my page and began to take orders and the orders came in thick and fast.

I then sourced some amazing suppliers which enabled me to branch out and offer other dried flower products alongside the beautiful pampas stems. I was off – perfecting my bouquet making skills and then began to take orders for these. It wasn’t long before I was approached to create a small pampas wall design for a customer. It was here that my installation journey really kicked off. I was then approached by a local bistro and events business to create some huge bespoke installations for their grand opening.

From then until now I have been inundated with messages and bookings regarding installations for both the home, salon and café spaces. I have been a part of numerous salon and café openings, working with each customer to create beautiful bespoke installations that make the most perfect final touches to their space.

2022 kick started our journey into weddings and events with our ever-growing range of backdrops perfect for any event or celebration. I have had the honour of creating some of the most beautiful pieces for some stunning brides, from button holes and bouquets all the way up to grand installations around features of the venue.

I’m a firm believer of you will only get out of something, whatever you put in. I’ve worked hard over the past few years to build this brand and creating this website is the right step into taking it to the next level, making the shopping experience much easier and smoother for my customers. Ooh and did I mention I do all of this alongside my fulltime teaching job?….
